This gallery is arranged by family and genus so it provides a valuable resource for those trying to learn more about fynbos botany. One can quickly get a sense of what common characteristics distinguish each of the families and genera by browsing through the albums.

Flowers to look out for during this month of March

| Crossyne guttata
During March the Amaryllidaceae appear;
this slightly rarer one found among grass on sloping ground
|

Brunsvigia orientalis
Brightens the dry sandy veld at the end of February/March. The flat, leathery leaves die down in summer and the stored energy is available for use by the flowers. |
